Provenienza Etica

Data di efficacia · 22 May 2026 · Versione 1.0

Diamanti above 0.30ct in our pieces carry an independent grading certificate from GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or IGI (International Gemological Institute), reporting 4Cs and any treatment.

These reports state country of origin and any treatment.

Treatments (heat, oil, fissure filling) are disclosed in full. Untreated stones are clearly identified as such.

3. Gold and platinum

Our gold is 18kt minimum, sourced from refiners that comply with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains and that hold LBMA Responsible Gold certification or equivalent. Recycled gold content is available on request and is the default for Co-Design and Bespoke commissions when not otherwise specified.

Platinum, when used, follows the same due-diligence standard.

4. Titanium and rhodium

Aerospace-grade titanium used in our stretchable Pyramid family is sourced from European mills. Rhodium plating for black-gold finishes is applied in-house under controlled conditions.

5. Chain of custody documentation

Every commission ships with:

6. Workshop ethics

Fair labour

All artisans in our Bangkok workshop are employed under formal contracts compliant with Thai labour law, including health insurance, social-security contributions and overtime regulations. We do not subcontract production to undisclosed third parties.

Health and safety

Our setting, polishing and engraving rooms are equipped with proper ventilation, personal-protection equipment and dust-extraction systems. Annual health checks are offered to all artisans.

Skills transfer

The atelier runs an internal apprenticeship pathway pairing senior Italian-trained jewellers with junior artisans, in line with the European bench-tradition the atelier originates from.

7. Environmental footprint

We do not currently claim to be carbon-neutral. We do:

8. Independent verification

Maisons, retailers and family offices may request a confidential audit of our sourcing documentation as part of partner due-diligence. We host such reviews at the atelier, with all relevant invoices and certificates available for inspection under NDA.

9. Reporting concerns

If you believe a sourcing claim on this page or in a Donati commission is inaccurate, please write to care@donatigioielli.net with subject "Provenance". We commit to investigate and respond within 30 days.

10. Updates

This statement is reviewed annually. The "Data di efficacia" above reflects the latest review.
